Palácio Quitandinha
Petrópolis, Rio de Janeiro
Palácio Quitandinha is a landmark former luxury hotel-casino in Petrópolis, opened in 1944 and now home to the Sesc Quitandinha cultural center. In Wild Orchid, its monumental interiors appear as the lobby and foyer of the hotel where the protagonists stay. The film also used the Sheraton Rio Hotel and Towers: exterior views and Quitandinha interiors combine into a single fictional hotel on screen.
